We can help your community project or garden in many different ways, including:

  • Designing a herb or wildlife-friendly space

gardening and art for wellbeing

We believe in the power of nature and gardening to improve the wellbeing of all of us, whether we are recovering from or living with an illness or managing the day-to-day stresses of life.

Both Lynne and Alan have delivered workshops in community settings with wellbeing in mind. Alan has a background in delivering art workshops in care home and hospital settings, in particular with people living with Dementia. Lynne has led gardening sessions in various community settings with volunteers from a range of backgrounds and with a range of needs.

Here is an article which Lynne wrote for the Dunoon Community Development Trust in 2023 after the Trellis Scotland Gardening for Wellbeing conference.

Learn about gardening

We are keen to help more people to appreciate, enjoy and learn about gardening.

We can deliver gardening workshops at your community space or at your home as a one-to-one session.

The kind of workshops we can deliver could include things like:

  • Seed sowing, taking cuttings and other kinds of propagation.

  • Vegetable gardening.

  • Growing and using herbs from the garden.

  • Seasonal tasks in the garden, such as mulching, pruning and planting.

We are very flexible and can tailor a session or workshop to your garden or group’s needs.
